What information do we collect about you when you use our website?

We collect a variety of information when you use our website, including:

  • Personal information that you give us when you place an order with us;
  • Statistical information about your user behaviour and characteristics (this helps us identify products that may be of interest to you and run our business; we may give it to third parties to help us analyse it for marketing purposes but only in a way where your information is anonymous and you can’t be identified);
  • Your IP address (the identifier for the computer you are using). This is used mainly for security and statistical purposes e.g. if we think there has been unauthorised access to your account; and
  • Any additional information about you that you may have given us in connection with optional competitions, surveys or offers.

We are careful to keep your personal and financial information safe and protect it. Information that isn’t personal will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.

What you need to know before you give us information.

This website contains applications that collect personal information about you.  We use encryption to make sure that any confidential information you send us over the internet is as secure as possible. (Although you’ll need to ensure that your internet browser can support our encryption requirements.  If it’s not set up to do so, the information you send us won’t be secure).

We only use your information for the purposes for which you have provided it, and you don’t have to give us information that you’re asked for. However, it might mean that we can’t provide you with the products that you want to purchase. Call us and we can talk it through.

Our privacy policy also tells you about who we can give your personal information to and how we’ll look after it.  You can ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected if you think it’s wrong.  Take a look at our privacy policy for more information about this as there are certain rules that apply.

If you give us your email address, we may use it to keep you updated about purchases you have made or to keep you up to date with any changes to our website.  We might also use it to send you online surveys or information about promotions, offers or products that we think might be of interest to you.  If you don’t want to receive this sort of information you can always ask us to remove you from our email list.

Flash cookies are similar to browser cookies except that they can store data more complex than simple text and are stored in your browser rather than on your hard drive. You can have your browser and/or plugs to your browser, such as flash, notify you of, or automatically reject, cookies. If you reject our cookies or opt-out of the use of cookies, you may still use this Site, but you may be limited in the use of some of its features.
